Pivot is a work on balance, that temporary and fragile state of perfection reached by two or more elements depending on each other. Interdependent bodies are caught in the action of crafting their relationship. They negotiate freedom and desires, they search for symmetries, they acknowledge opposing tensions and transform apparent limitations into opportunities. The performance installation reveals the fragile nature of stillness and the necessity of extreme care for this state to be maintained trough time.

PIVOT is the result of a collaboration between dance artists Alberto Cissello and Martina De Dominicis in collaboration with Visual artist Johannes Heuer and composer Lorenzo Romano.The work has been developed during a residency offered by vorAnker Temporary Space for Artists, Vienna in December 2019. It has been presented in the frame of Winter Shorts Festival in 2019, curated by Elio Gervasi Raum 33 and Liquid Loft, as a two hours installation/performance.
